Mr. Næss-Ulseth was Managing Director of the software and consultancy company Taskon AS from 1988 to 1999 and Senior Research Scientist and Development Manager at SINTEF SI in the period 1982-87. He has been Chairman of the Board of PROFF, the branch organization for the Norwegian software industry, Vice-Chairman of the branch organization within NHO for the information technology industry in Norway, Chairman of the Board of Oslonett (the first Internet company in Scandinavia). He is today a member of the board of directors of Ideas ASA, IPnett AS, PubGene Inc., Biomolex AS, GetMedic AS, Exie AS, Lonus Technologies AS and the Norwegian Computing Central.

Torbjørn Rognes is a co-founder of Sencel. He has a background in computer science from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in Trondheim, Norway. Rognes started development of bioinformatics software in 1993. He defended his PhD in bioinformatics at the University of Oslo in 2001 and established a research group in bioinformatics in 2002. Rognes is Associate professor at the Department of Informatics at the University of Oslo, a research scientist at Rikshospitalet-Radiumhospitalet and a group leader in the Centre for Molecular Biology and Neuroscience (CMBN), one of the thirteen Norwegian Centres of Excellence.

Hauge holds a Ph.D. in biochemistry from the University of Oslo, where he has been working on several protein structure related projects since 1996. He got his PhD in 1999 on the work "Amphiphilical a-helices in membrane permeabilizing bacteriocins of Lactic Acid Bacteria", after which he was employed as a Post. Doc. researcher at the Biochemistry department, University of Oslo. During his Post. Doc.period Mr. Hauge spent one year at EMBL, Heidelberg, working on a protein NMR structure project supervised by Dr. Michael Nilges (group leader in "EMBL Structural and Computational Biology Programme"). He has also taken several EMBL courses in molecular modeling, and his work has so far resulted in several (9) publications in international journals.
